More about Steph (she/they)

Steph, a white, nonbinary femme therapist in their late 30s, stands in front of a cherry tree. Steph has long dark hair and several tattoos.

Hi! I’m Steph. I’m a therapist who works with neurodivergence, complex trauma (including religious trauma), and LGBTQ+ identity exploration. As someone whose own life story has been pretty non-linear at times, I’ve become an avid appreciator of human complexity.

I aim to create a space where people who are questioning their old narratives (for example: about gender, spirituality, or their own brains) can build authentic self-understanding and self-trust.

My approach is grounded in collaboration, curiosity, humor, and care. I’m informed by disability justice, queer theory, and intersectional feminist thought, which inform my commitment to questioning and subverting oppressive systems in and outside the therapy room.

I’m a white, invisibly queer, neurodivergent nonbinary femme. I didn’t discover some of these identities until adulthood, which keeps me on a path of learning and unlearning.

Outside of therapy, I spend my free time befriending the neighborhood crows, collecting and tumbling rocks, and rewatching Star Trek Voyager and DS9.

About my clients

Perhaps it has taken you time to begin to find your shape— in adolescence or adulthood, you were diagnosed autistic or ADHD, came out as queer, or began to question the beliefs you were raised with. If you identify in ways that differ from the dominant culture, I hope to offer a space that affirms your experiences and honors your process.

I believe you’re the expert in your own life. As a therapist, I may bring reflections, observations, or knowledge, but our work together is collaborative and shaped by your lived experience.

The people I work with are often navigating one or more of the following:

– Autistic, ADHD, OCD, or highly sensitive
– LGBTQ+, or exploring gender, sexuality, or relationship style
– Deconstructing religion or healing from spiritual trauma
– Living with chronic illness or disability
– Unpacking childhood, family, or intergenerational trauma
– Struggling with relationships, boundaries, or healing from abuse

I work with adults and adolescents ages 16+ in Washington State. Please contact me if you would like to schedule a free 20-minute consult.
